How we protect your information
Plain-language version. Last updated October 2026. Versión en español disponible a petición: pídala cuando le llamemos.
What we collect, and why
When you ask us to call you, we keep your first name, your phone number, your language, the best time to call and, if you give it, your ZIP code. We use them for one thing: to call you about public benefits.
If you decide to go ahead, we will ask the questions a benefits application needs (household, income, housing costs) and, later, photos of the documents the office requires. We ask for your Social Security number only when an application needs it, never on the first call, and we tell you when and why.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your information.
- We never share it with partners or sponsors. They see counts, never names.
- We never use it to sell you anything, and we never let anyone else do so.
- We never take a percentage of your benefits.
Where it is kept
On secure servers in the United States. Only the people who work on your application can see it, and every access is logged. Documents are deleted when your application is decided, unless you ask us to keep them for a renewal.
Your choices
Say "stop" at any time, by phone or in writing, and we stop and delete what we hold within 30 days. Ask us what we have about you and we tell you. Ask us to correct something and we do.
